Dial A Ride

Dial-a-Ride is a free door-to-door service for people who are unable to use public transport. It uses mini buses which are specially designed to take wheelchairs for people with disabilities. You can't use it to attend hospital appointments, to travel to and from work and from local authority day centres or for school transport as there are other services available for these purposes.

You are automatically eligible for membership if you are:

  • A current member of Taxicard
  • In receipt of the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance
  • Registered blind
  • Aged 85 of over
  • In receipt of Higher Rate Attendance Allowance
  • In receipt of a War Pension Mobility Supplement

If you do not fulfil any of the criteria above, you may still be eligible for Dial-a-Ride but may have to provide further evidence of your mobility problems.

Call 0343 222 7777 to become a member or make a booking.
