Speech and Language Therapy

Speech and language therapy (paediatric) The Ealing Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy service works with children who have speech, language, communication and feeding difficulties. We:

  • assess skills, give advice and suggest strategies;
  • work with children both individually and in groups;
  • train parents and professionals;
  • work in schools, clinics and Children’s Centres.

We work with children whose GP is in the Borough of Ealing. If your child’s GP is outside Ealing, you can find the right service using the NHS Direct website.

Does my child need therapy? If you are concerned about your child’s speech, language, communication or feeding, consider referring your child to our service. We’ll assess your child’s skills and decide what to do next.

How do I refer my child for assessment? The right way to refer depends on your child’s age.

Children under 5 years: 'play and talk' drop-in sessions
If your child is under 5 years old, you can come to a 'play and talk' drop-in session without making an appointment. One of our speech and language therapists will assess your child and together we’ll plan what to do next.
