EPCF Family Fun Day

09 June 2018
14:00 – 17:00

It's here again, the Ealing Parent Carer Forum Summer Party. Come and meet other parents and carers with food and entertainment also provided at no charge.

There will be a percussion group from IMPACT from 2.15-3.15pm for anyone to join in, all age groups.

There will be an "Amanda Action songs" session from 4-5pm, probably more suitable for younger children (0-6/7).

Face painting available throughout the afternoon. Free finger food as well.
EPCF partner organisations will also be present, which means that:

  • CONTACT will be there if parents would like to speak to their new Family Support Workers about any issue around support, advice, DLA applications etc.
  • ISAID will be there if parents want to take the opportunity to ask for some advice on their child's EHCP or SEN support in school.
  • Ealing Mencap will be there (Tom Quilter) for any queries on activities, participation or short breaks for young people.

In addition, Gabriel Jones (Mencap) will be available and happy to talk to any interested parents about issues surrounding Deputyship / Power of Attorney / Mental Capacity Act (i.e. things to consider when a child with LD reaches adulthood) from 2.30-3.45pm, either on an individual basis or with a small group of parents in one of the side rooms at the Enterprise Lodge. We realise this is a Fun Day but have been approached by parents about this issue several times.. Gabriel has extensive working knowledge of these issues and will hopefully be able to help anyone struggling with them.
Apart from all that the weather looks overcast but dry so we should be able to use the lovely garden. There is parking in the surrounding streets (no parking restrictions).

Please contact Brigitte at info@epcf.org.uk if you have any questions.
