Is your child with a diagnosis of ADHD and/or Autism transferring to High School this September? Do you and your child have anxieties and concerns regarding this next stage of their education? Would you like some strategies and support to help you and your child?

Parents whose children are transferring to High School are invited to attend the Centre for ADHD and Autism Support's  "Transition evening" which will consist of two themes which include:-

  • Understanding what this change will mean for your child, how to ensure the transition goes smoothly and who to go to for help if you have concerns and worries. It will also provide an opportunity to look at what the school should be providing for your child.
  • We also will explore how the change will be affecting your child and what we can do as parents to support them in both practical and emotional ways during this time.

This session also provides a valuable opportunity for you to meet a representative from their Youth Team to find out about the support they will be able to offer for your child during this transition stage and beyond.  (Please note that we can only provide some services to families living in local authorities that we receive funding from).

The workshop is anticipated to last for 2 hours, though there will be time at the end to speak to staff about specific questions if needed.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Ticket Prices £10 (CAAS Members only)
